Default Tourer boot locked

And won't unlock. When I press fob to lock the car I hear a horn beep. Is there any way of taking off the interior tailgate trim to unlock the boot. What could be the cause?

if you climb into the boot from the back seats you can open the panel in the boot for the triangle. when you have opened it there these a rectangle bit of plastic about 40mm long. unclip that and pull it. the boot will unlock, its the same as the fuel filler cap emergency release.

When you get a beep Tring to lock the car it can mean that a door, boot or bonnet is 'open' as opposed to 'unlocked'. Any light on the dash?

Mine has started doing this today, although it will unlock by holding down the fob (maybe the OP doesn't know about this trick)?

It's going to be the switch in the tailgate under the chrome handle rubbery bit, isn't it?
