Multi car insurance
I've just added a 53 plate cdt tourer to the family for the odd time I need an estate. Bearing in mind my 75 saloon does 5k or less a year.
The quotes I'm getting seem really high...I have full ncb and no points or convictions. What was daft on one quote it was cheaper for this new car to be on driveway rather than locked garage??!!! Tried Adrian Flux and Michaels for individual quotes... Got £300 + Cheers for any advice. |

Yes, I too find it strange that its seen as less of a risk to park your car on the driveway than locked away in a garage.
I remember a couple of years back getting a quote for my 45 and it actually worked out cheaper to park it on the road. This seems to vary from company to company ! |

I've had a couple of multi-car quotes previously and they were all 3x or more the price of insuring one. As I'd never claim on my own insurance for my cars (they'd load the premiums over the next 5yrs to ensure I paid more back to them than they'd pay out) I simply only insure the car that's in use and the other sits uninsured on the driveway.

We use Admiral for multi car. As for Adrian flux being £300, thats odd. My CDT saloon with 160 reamp plus a load of other upgrades was only £200.
what sort of area do you live in? macafee2 |

Re: Car insurance
Hi there,
You could give the "Martin Lewis approach" a go. Web site http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/insurance/ Regards CLINTE |

Has anyone tried fleet insurance where they are running more than one car? A friend of mine in the Dolomite Club has this year put his Jaguar, Discovery and Dolomite Sprint with one and says the premium was just a bit more than for his Jaguar last year. |
