Rover/ Saab advise
Hello group, I am an active member of the brilliant Rover/MG club. I have finally taken the plunge at 72 to buy myself a convertible, no less a Saab 9-3. Are there members in the Rover/MG club who can also offer advise on these cars, there does not appear to be a club in the U.K. Sorry but I will not be parting with my 05 contemporary tourer diesel with just 42K on the clock - I love it!

The SAAB owners club is very active and have lots of monthly meets in some areas.
I have a 93 aero convertible, and it is fun to drive with its 205 BHP |

It would be nice to have a few more details e.g.
Model Manual or Auto Petrol ( chain ) or Diesel ( cam-belt & water pump ) And yes there is the Saab Owners Club ( SOC ) www.saabclub.co.uk which you can join . You get the " SAAB DRIVER" magazine ( foc ) every couple of months which has some useful information in it . As others say on here pictures are always good as well . Clinte |

Sorry about that, it's a Saab 1.8t Vector (2005) Petrol and Manual. It has only covered 71K and is in lovely condition. I have never fathomed out how to put pictures on the Forum yet! The car seems to be very well built, the leather seats are a pleasure - the doors shutting with a nice thud!

Saab
Problems which is a main concern for SAABs is that the bulkheads, but there is a kit you can get to fix the problem and it is advised that you get it fitted
have a look here http://www.saabscene.com/forum/threa...ulkhead-cracks also when they did a wheeler dealer episode they fitted the bulk head strengthening bracket Stu |

Not specifically a club, but online forum.
www.UkSaabs.co.uk is very good. Lots of useful advise and people like Karl (username NoobTune) who can remap the car for a lot more oomph for a small fee. Might be wrong, but dont think the later ones had the same bulkhead issues as earlier ones. Just cosmetics really, but if you do not have a wind deflector I'd get one fitted they make a world of difference. Just means you cant have any back seat passengers. Also can take a while to get used to the central key location.... Should be a nice car, enjoy

I recognise that user name from the brown place gadgetgricey
2005 won't have any bulkhead issues, or sludge problems the bigger engined ones had, no real issues on these and some good specialists and forums out there for whatever you need. Saab's didn't suffer from a Swedish project drive either, they just carried on over engineering everything until the lights went out. My 75 was meant to replace my saab, but I can't bring myself to part with it. Good cars.
