Insurance for Rover 75.
Does anyone know of any companies specialising in cover for 75 owners ,my insurance quotes havie been in excess of £1000 .I use it as a second car etc ,dont really want to sell it ,but obviously need to get reasonable cover at a reasonable price. Many thanks Dave.

I just started with Peter Best for the ZT 2.5 V6 ....limited mileage to 3000 pa and comes with breakdown cover also guaranteed value.....mine was £191.10 and I'm aged 52....worth giving them a call

As Keith said Pete Best , then there is Adrian Flux , try the Martin Lewis route of the comparison sites .
With full no claims bonus and ticking all the right boxes and perhaps restricting the mileage for a 1.8 it should be no more than £200 - £300 and could even be cheaper than that but it all depends on your circumstances. Clinte |

The biggest factor now seems to be postcode of where you live.

Blimey, well expensive quotes,
I'm 37, 10 years no claims with 99 club se 2.0v6 auto was quoted £230 on normal policy, 12000 miles, with monthly payment it works out @ 280 for the year. This quote was matched by my insurer as they quoted me over £500 at renewal time.

I would go onto a comparison site such as Confused and see what sort of quotes are generated. Then play around with variables such as where you live, your occupation etc. and see how that affects the quoted price.
This should provide some insight to why the quotes are so high. I pay less than £200 for each of my cars - living in rural Suffolk is a great help with car insurance as is my driving record, the fact that I have owned the particular cars a long time and so on. |
