Default Moto GP2 stupidity!

Just watched an unbelievable incident in the Moto2 San Marino GP where Romano Fenati reached across and grabbed the front brake lever on Stefano Manzi's bike after a coming together a couple of corners earlier when Manzi passed him. Fenati was black flagged, disqualified and has a two race ban although there are calls for a lifetime ban.

That is unbelievable, a lifetime ban seems reasonable to me.

That's about as low as you can get on a race track, From what I can gather on Twitter MV Augusta has already sacked him.

He had a history of this kind of aggression in MotoGP3 too.

He already had a bad reputation in Moto3, a lifetime ban is the only acceptable punishment here, idiots like this do not belong on a racetrack.
I can't see any team taking him on even if he serves a lengthy ban.

His contract with his current team, Marinelli Snipers, has been terminated and a planned move to MV Augusta is looking extremely doubtful. The boss of MV Agusta said "Regarding his contract for a future position as rider of MV Agusta Moto 2, I will oppose myself in every way to stop it. It won’t happen, he doesn’t represent our company's true values."

Hi
You would have thought with the loss of some motorcycle legends especially this year more discipline and sportsmanship would be in order.

This is a very dangerous sport and the consequences of his actions could have proved fatal

Steve

I saw that and agree lifetime ban but he's always been a problemI'm sure that Valantino Rossi's moto3 team sacked him.
Still on a motorcycle theme but a much happier note..
A young relative of my wife 19 year old Ryan Vickers from Thetford claimed the Pirelli superstock 600 championship at Silverstone yesterday with 2 rounds left to go..
A couple of pics below via Jamie morris and facebook..

Cheers Ian

I didn’t come off, as a certain part of my anatomy was gripping the seat rather hard!!
