Default Granville's rust cure

Afternoon all

Has anyone used the above and was it any good?

The underside and chassis on the ford is getting rather rusty and due to the access to some parts of the chassis I am looking for a paint on rust converter .
Removing the rust completely is going to be impossible so it has to be a converter.

Looking at the Frost's website it seems simple enough to use , remove loose rust , degrease and brush on 2 coats.

It comes recommended by practical classics mag.

Any thoughts or recommendation's?

Stan

These are perfect for the job of rust removal, not the cheapest yet though.

Very impressive but if I had that much money I wouldn't be worrying about a rusty car!!

from one Stan to another. This is what I'm using on my Ford (Escort GTI)

Does what it says on the tin

http://aquasteel.co.uk/

It's water based so you can spray it around without risk and, once dry, you can paint over it without fear of an acidic or alkaline reaction. Very 'liquid' so seeps into seams etc. - ideal before injecting Waxoyl or similar.

HI Stan.
Thank you for the link that looks to be a great product and not over priced either

Am afraid this guy who tested Granville's was not overly impressed - i think reading his stuff he prefers POR 15 paint. See results of comparison test.

Looks like the test was just treated and nothing put on top , real life you would top coat it with something but in real real life you can't get to all the bits so a good test overall
