Here you go:
Thermostat how to It is simple, I have done it to mine and there is a world of difference in how much quicker it heats up. If you buy the Gates thermostat you don't have to grind it down, also Mat at DMGRS sells everything you need ... if you need. Last edited by Vossy; 4th January 2019 at 13:43.. |

thanks 4 ur reply vossy, I bought the thermos a while back and meant to fit before winter but things get in the way, now I've been out to have a look and it appears to be too small it will just fall into the hose

I got this one in now:
Ebay thermo Tight fit but a little washing up liquid and heating the hose with boiling water lets it slide in easy enough. |

I'm just about to do mine, kit just ordered. DMRGS kit comes with a large jubilee clip to clamp around new stat when it's inside the pipe.

It fits in the rear (smaller) end of the hose. I believe there's 1/4" difference between each end. TC |

Did this on mine a month ago with the help and advice of all the guru's here, must say ... it's the best mod especially this time of year.
I used the 'Gates' item. Really easy job tbh, had mine done in under 25 minutes, the car is fully up to temp now within a couple of miles, and now returns an extra 25mpg! haha. (I wished). |
