Think I might gamble on that to have on the shelf at £24 delivered with eBay 10% father's Day.

Cheaper than these, which are sometime ok.

Depends what turns up, buying on eBay is the same as buying from China. Thanks for the link, Russian roulette with a cheap slave.

Angry I more confused than ever.

I replaced the master cylinder with a LUK one and within a month of fitting I noticed that the pedal can be worked down to the floor. I can live with it but didn't really like the "quality of it. My thinking is that judging by the amount of pedal pressure that has to be used to disengage the clutch there must be some sort of design fault. No reduction in the ease of use has occurred having changed every part of the clutch. I guess that the enormous force on all of the parts especially the seals and bearing. I am thinking about the possibility of just changing the bearing on the cylinder. Anyone know if this can be done?

Take the metal slave cylinder out and throw it in the bin.........they are not fit for service.

I've just replaced the second one of these, having failed in the manner of yours.
