Default Any recommendations 4 wheel alignment North West

Apologies if I have missed a thread but nothing came up for me on search. I have uneven wear on the outer edge of NSR tyre and the inside of NSF and think it is time to get all four wheels pointing the right way! I know I have read some comments about garages that weren't too impressive with 4 wheel alignment so would be grateful to hear of places that have done a good job for other members. Thanks.

Vindaloo has organised North West garage days in the past at :-

Atherton Car Safety Centre

Unit 4 , Atherton Ind. Centre, Bolton Road, Atherton, M46 9RB

They have done many 75`s and ZT`s and have the correct 4 wheel alignment machine.

Dare I suggest Kwik Fit ... did an excellent Job on my 75 ... all wheels now pointing straight. Expensive £100 but with Nationwide 2 year guarantee...

Do ensure that all suspension/steering components are checked for play etc. and any issues corrected before the alignment.

Otherwise it may turn out to be a waste of money.

Another one for Atherton Safety Centre, although I normally use DP Tyres in Wigan - they have (and know how to use) a Hunter Hawkeye system, and are a little cheaper than Atherton normally.

They also have the vanishingly rare Hunter Road Force Balancer, although our cars don't really need that.

One thing I will say is that Atherton are great for most things, but they quoted me most of £300 to replace a lower wishbone - eventually done by Horners ARC for £55 when I supplied the part
