Alternator question?

Hello all,

As some of might know alternator has packed up and I need a new unit to replace it. I've seen a OEM one at 100ish Amp and wondered if it would be safe to replace it with a 120 or 150 Amp Alternator as I am running a 1000w amp, head unit, speakers and Sub. Any info will be cool, did try searching but not fruitful.

These might be worth a phone call, they do post and they have an Ebay shop but I do know that everything they sell is not always listed.
I know they had a stock of ex factory Valeo alternators for a diesels a while ago.

The later CDT alternator is a 120A Valeo and is interchangeable with the earlier 100A type.

A previous post by myself about 2-3 years ago provides the manufacturer codes.

You may just need to replaces your brushes or regulator instead of the whole unit...
