Default Looking for my old car

Hi, wondering if anyone here can help? Looking for my old car that had a lot of family history. If found would like to try and repurchase. Was passed down by my parents (recently deceased), was our wedding car and my son was bought home in her from birth. 1966 Morris Minor 1000 in Rose Taupe NPF 726D. May have had a respray, last seen in Hampshire in 1997. Any help or details of owner/whereabouts gratefully appreciated. Cheers in anticipation.

If your lucky someone has this tucked up in a garage or shed maybe, long shot but always worth asking, I hope you drop lucky with it.
Tax was due 1 November 1997, nothing since, even free tax would have shown up.
Good luck.

Maybe ask on their Car forums and Facebook pages?

If you write to DVLA, they have a system to send the current owner/keeper an enquiry (small fee I believe).
https://www.gov.uk/request-information-from-dvla
The examples are just that and as a former keeper you should be OK.

Due to data protection act, they are no longer giving out details of past or present owners. Already been down that road sadly. Am on two their forum pages, no one has heard of it. Hopefully is in a garage stored somewhere

Sadly the first time the scrappage scheme happened there was a lot of perfectly good classics that were being crushed.

I had a look around a breakers that was tasked with scrapping some of the cars the last time and it amazed me what was being scrapped. Some were obviously well past there best but seeing an immaculate TR7, MGB GT with less than 30k on the clock and loads of Jags made me realise what a ridiculous scheme it was especially when most of the people would be driving imported cars probably on some sort of PCP or Hire Purchase scheme.

Hi Yeti,
As said above, no MOT or TAX for several years, perhaps it has found it's way to a nice warm showroom somewhere.
Bit of a long shot, but I have emailed a chap who sold the car in 2011 after it was restored and had an engine rebuild. Here's hoping he will reply.
