I'm with Endsleigh but could have got it cheaper by about £15 when the renewal came up recently but too lazy to bother changing for that amount.

I am 62 now, no convictions and a licence since I was 17, NCB 20 years plus.

Hastings quoted £440 but to get that price I have to have a black box fitted in my car ... I must look younger than I thought

I went to a local broker and got a policy with all the bells and whistles with zero compulsory excess and an agreed value all for £258, cheapest on comparison sites was £320.

My experience exactly!!

My independent broker has saved me hundreds of £’s each and every year.

And what’s more - the modifications on the car get listed on the policy so no quibble in the event of a claim.

My experience of comparison sites has been very poor. My experience of my independent broker has been excellent.

Interestingly he has recommended the same company for the last two years - not the cheapest as he gives me the three best options out of the hundreds of possibilities - but the one he feels is financially strong - has good admin and a fair premium.

And this year the premium WENT DOWN!

From what I understand- this NEVER happens on Comparrison Sites - quite the opposite in fact!!

mines nearly due and just had an email from one of the comparison sites with a quote of £70 less than my present insurance from last year for exactly the same details
presently with Tesco but more than likely moving back to Swiftcover again by the looks of things

i will say to use a variety of comparison sites as they all have different deals with the companies, so some will be cheaper on one site than another

I know what you mean. 79 this year and expecting the ‘one foot in the grave’ quotes for silly money next February when my mine is due. I am thinking of just having ‘Road Traffic Act’ insurance. No accidents since 2002 and still get stuffed for insurance, and that one was a not at fault accident. Just a complete racket. Robbery without the violence in my opinion.
