Full praise to Peter for organising the day. A terrific turnout with around 15 of our cars on show. I think we must have had one of the biggest stands at the show. Well done Peter for pulling it all together .
It really was a day of 2 halfs. Cold and wet in the morning, then I got my head sun burnt in the afternoon . I took a few pics, so I'll get them up once I've sorted through them later today or tomorrow. It was great to see Banana in all her re-sprayed glory. She looked okayish I guess .......... Oh, alright, I'll admit it, she looked amazing - the paint finish really is a sight to behold . In fact, I'll put my sun burn down to being parked next to her all day . All in all, a great day out. Cliff

Congratulations to Peter for putting it all together. Nice to see all the old faces, and Julian plus a new face or two.
Banana was well pleased that everyone liked her new coat of paint. Will try and make a breakfast meet in the next month or two.

Yep thanks Peter for organising a great day out.
Some great cars to look at, including the Blower Bentley, and we enjoyed and learnt a lot from the Falconry display. Good beer too - cheers for that! |

Yep Thanks Pete for all the hard work and beer. Great turnout for the club and despite the drizzle in the morning and the slow drag home around the M25 a thoroughly good day again.

I would just like too add many, many thanks to Peter for getting us all together,
Absolutely cracking turnout, especially Peters mobile bar, as for one or two of you the pleasure was all yours that I turned up and brighten up your day. Beautiful cars a credit to you all, Bob all joking aside Banana looked the biz, Dawn commented she has never seen you more upbeat as you have been today I still think you are a miserable NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-. LOL!. All jokes aside it was a brilliant day out, thankyou. Rev. |

Good Morning to all the members that I met yesterday, on your display stand.
I received a warm welcome, and a very unexpected (but appreciated) bottle of Old Hooky bitter, all the way from Hook Norton down to the back of a 75 Tourer, thank you Peter for the beer, and others, for the chats. As I mentioned to some of you, I should be collecting a 75 (1.8 Club SE Saloon) this week. Essentially, it's low mileage, but has been laid up for 18 months, not a good thing. I do have a few spanners (even metric ones) and a pit and a hoist, used mainly on MG B's, but shortly to do a Rover cam belt (overdue, on age) and probably a head gasket (as a precaution) I'm not new to Rovers; 2 x P6's, 1x SD1, and a 216 cabriolet; plus 2 company cars, a 420, and the last one, a (W reg) 2000 75 Club, in British Racing Green. Hence BRG75. I look forward to meeting up with you again; living near to J5, M25, I'm as close to you as the South East centre. Mike

Clandon Park
I would like to add my thanks to Peter for a most enjoyable day out. The wine was much appreciated as well as finding a screw for my grille. So nice to see all the other Rovers. Best part was when members of another club came and stared enviously at us enjoying our beers etc!
Thanks very much Peter

Many thanks for organising Peter
Clandon Park was a very enjoyable day out. Great collection of ZTs and 75s plus some real gems amongst the other marques present. We enjoyed a look around the burnt out Clandon Park House and lunch at the garden centre. Will hopefully be back each year to watch the progress with the ambitious National Trust rebuilding efforts. All in aid of a worthy cause too. Macmillan Cancer Support. Thanks to Peter and all present for putting on a great show!

Some photos from Sundays show. Going by the weather, you wouldn't have thought they were all taken on the same day at the same place .
Finally, the sun came out and the bonnets could go up Cliff
