A rabbit goes into a pub and says to the barman "A half of lager and a cheese and onion toasty please". He nibbles his way through the toasty but is still hungry.

He goes back to the barman and says "Can I have a cheese and ham toasty this time please". He takes his toasty and goes back to his seat where he continues to sip his lager and nibble his way through the toasty.

But, he is still hungry. So he goes to the barman for a third time and says "Cheese and tomato toasty please". He takes his seat again and eat his toasty and finishes his lager. This time he is satisfied. He thanks the barman and hops out into the street. Off he goes then suddenly drops to the floor - dead.

His little spirit leaves his body and wends its way to heaven. On reaching the Pearly Gates, Saint Peter says to rabbit "Just for the records - cause of death?"

I've re-told this joke to about ten people. In each case, I have held up my two fingers in a very Churchill-esque manner and said 'four pints please'. The last person I told the joke to, looked at me rather stony-faced and said 'Don't you mean FIVE pints?'
