Sorry, I didn’t explain properly – the older style badge I fitted is bigger than the recess for the new kind, so I glued the larger badge over the smaller recess with NMN… looked great till its finish started to fail too.

You can get these 3D type which quite a few members have fitted in the past, including myself on my first Tourer.

Thanks, actually I have one, but up to now wanted to keep the car looking original. However, since it looks like the correct facelift badges aren’t available maybe I will cut a lug off the back and use it after all!

Unless, of course, I remove the grey badge very very carefully and see if I can get it copied...am I taking this too seriously?

We had someone ask for a face lift badge insert not so long back, the customer was quite pleased with it, didn't know these where a hard part to get.

Isn't that a V8 grill badge (aka 3D badge). The proper OEM facelift badge for a 75 is just a thin self adhesive decal - perhaps the same colourways and motif as the V8 jobby (the one supplied by Jezzer on here has some subtle colour/shading variations) but still just a snug fit in the chromed grill recess.

This one was domed at customers request , they can just be the motif without the gel, in my experience there isn't really a good vector out there that can be used to create the badge so I imagine like me the printers have to draw them from scratch to get the highest quality print, I haven't seen Jezzers work as of yet but sounds like he is doing a top notch job with the OE badges.

Well, I managed to get mine off, and one of the ones Arctic suggested ordered.

I mean, I don't see anything much wrong with the one I had, but...
