Default Speakers

just a quicky guys, any recomendations for drop in speakers, cant be ***** to make new pods/adaptions etc.

the sound from the std speakers/kenwood h/u is very poor, no bass until its upto number twentyish even with the bass up max, trebble minus 2 it is still rubbish.!!

I bought a pair of these for the front.I also added a pair of rear tweeters and bought one of the high end Kenwood head units.The improvement in sound quality is very noticable.

There is a Harmon Kardor unit for sale at the moment in the for sale section.If you have deep pockets and are clued up with ice wiring it might be worth a punt.

thanks bobon, ive heard the hardon in a friends and although an improvemnet over mine im sure i could get better results for the same outlay, also wouldnt want to try to adapt looms etc for it to fit!!

which head unit did you go for in the end btw?

I went for one of these.The sound is great the only small downside is the display is a little dim on a sunny day.
