Default LED Side Light Bulbs

I have a few pairs of these Bright White LED bulbs available. They are canbus compatible so will Not cause the bulb warning system to activate. They have 0ne LED at the front and one more on each side three in total. They replace the T10 capless type of bulb as used in the front side lights and other places.

Special price to members is (for a pair) £12 including free postage and packing. PM me if you would like a set. I have them on my ZT and they look excellent.

Yes pull out the old capless bulb and push in. I fitted two to my ZT and it took about half an hour as I jacked up each side to increase the space by the wheel arch hatch.

Remember they are polarity sensative, the negative terminal is marked "-".

Anyone who wants a pair PM me rather than post on the forum.

I really like these as my side lights look so yellow next to my projectors but I am confused to whether they are legal, as a lot of new cars have LED side lights you would think they are – in theory? Reading the info from the following link only Filament lamps have to be E marked and as long as the light emitted meets that listed below there should be no problem? Or is it a case that if it was fitted with a filament lamp from factory you must replace with an E marked filament lamp.
http://www.opsi.gov.uk/si/si1989/Uksi_19891796_en_1.htm

Filament lamps
14.—(1) Where a motor vehicle first used on or after 1st April 1986 or any trailer manufactured on or after 1st October 1985 is equipped with any lamp of a type that is required by any Schedule to these Regulations to be marked with an approval mark, no filament lamp other than a filament lamp referred to in the Designation of Approval Marks Regulations in-
(a) regulation 4 and Schedule 2, items 2 or 2A, 8, 20, 37 or 37A; or

(b) regulation 5 and Schedule 4, item 18,
shall be fitted to any such lamp.

(2) Where any pedal cycle manufactured on or after 1st October 1990 is equipped with any lamp that is required by any Schedule to these Regulations to be marked with a British Standard mark, no filament lamp other than a filament lamp marked with the marking indicated in the British Standard specification for Filament Lamps for Cycles published by the British Standards Institution under the reference 6873: 1988 namely "B.S. 6873" shall be fitted to any such lamp.

2. Running lamps fitted to satisfy regulation 18 shall be in the form of a matched pair of front lamps, each of which-
(a) is fitted in a position in which an obligatory front position lamp may lawfully be fitted, and

(b) is capable of emitting white light to the front having an intensity of not less than 200 candelas, measured from directly in front of the centre of the lamp in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, and of not more than 800 candelas in any direction.

Amen to that. I had some of these and in the end changed to a different type which actually fit in the headlight unit.

These ones fitted the same as a capless bulb no different as I put two in my ZT (not facelift with standard headlights).

These ones are not blue but are a different colour temp compared to a filament bulb but side by side they look a little blue as the filament bulb looks so yellow.

I walked past a new Merc tonight parked with its side lights on and they were definately LED and looked the same as these bulbs. imho much better than yellow tint sidelights.

PM me if you would like a set.
