K-Series 1.8 Timing Belt Tensioner Question.
When setting the tensioner on the K-Series Timing Belt, should the Pointed End of the Egg shaped Adjuster be pointed down ( I believe to be correct ) or upwards when the Wire Spring end is aligned with the Forked shaped Index?

When everything is lined up (tensioned), the 'egg' should point downwards

Unless using a brand new bolt, before fitting the tensioner pre-treat the mounting bolt with threadlocking fluid. The adjuster (egg plate) is turned anticlockwise and the indicator wire will automatically turn clockwise. Turn Allen key until wire pointer centres on the notch. It can seem to work the other way around but that's wrong. Tighten bolt to 25Nm while holding the adjustment in position.
