Default Who's got the newest 75

Following on from an earlier post re one owner cars I did a search on my 75 that I bought new in 2006 after the demise of rover and came up with this...

Left production line. Thursday, 24th March 2005 @ 08:28:50
This vehicle was the 111,933rd 75 to run off the production line, out of 112,381
This vehicle was the 850th 75 CDT Classic (135) to be made out of 899
This vehicle was the 14,157th 75 in Starlight Silver (code: MBB) to be made out of 14,280 Starlight Silver 75s

Strange build spec, it came with leather interior and the nice se alloy wheels but walnut dash and single control air con.

So one of the last 450 built.

My ZTT was built on Monday, 4th April 2005 (the month the factory closed) and 90 75's were built the same day. That could mean up to 1,350 75's were built in the last month plus some MG's.

My car didn't get registered until Feb 2007.

I was told mine was handed over in person by John Towers at an event at Coombe abbey so I would presume yours was there too. A member of the air ambulance team used my car so she knew quite a bit about it. Whenever I asked about XCF she was a bit vague to its exhistance so I was surprised once it surfaced. Photos were taken by the air ambulance staff at the event but none seemed to of been saved as the years passed. I'm guessing the press weren't there as none of the Phoenix Four were particularly popular at that time so no press photos. I did uncover a copy of an article in the Birmingham Post though.

What I found out by contacting various people, starting with the people who uploaded the photos of my car in service onto Flickr was it spent a lot of its time active in the daytime around Birmingham heartlands hospital area rather than at night, also the cars covered 2 separate patches (Warwickshire & Northamptonshire,) I spoke to quite a few people and someone suggested to me that all 4 of the Phoenix 4 arrived in the two cars (2 in each car) and some pictures were taken hoping to improve their current image, it kind of tied in with the news article in the Birmingham post

I'm still trying to get hold of the reporter as I hope they could chuck some more light on it, and who has the photos of the former directors with the cars.
