I think I might take a trip to Dunes riverside cafe first for a couple of bacon rolls to give me energy

Chatting to the locals in Corfu a couple of weeks ago and they reckon that even the locals there struggle to cope in the high season of July and August. Well done to them of doing what they do and wearing masks during the Covid "recovery" period.

I am glad that I have retired, as any effort is just energy sapping and rewarded with lots of sweating! We are doing a lot of "napping" as proper sleep is nigh on impossible for any decent period of time. A liberal "dosing" of Metaxa before bed last night managed to get me to 4 am before I had to get up for a pot of tea!

As Jeff is up, I may leave watering the garden till later!

LOL The Citroen Ami has got competition with the UK's cheapest electric car the Ark Zero, now open to orders
It costs £5995 " as standard, it comes with a sunroof, reversing camera, LED lights, a central LCD infotainment screen and Bluetooth connectivity. It uses a standard Type 1 charger, which allows charge speeds of up to 7.4kW, with Type 2 chargers available using a converter. According to the firm, a full charge takes six to eight hours and costs "less than £1".

Err . . . . no, sorry but no. The bottom half looks like it doesn't belong with the top

Sun hasn't really broken through but its still mid 20s and cloudy, the breeze feels like sitting in front of a fan heater!

It's horrendous here too, I'm in the mancave with curtains/windows closed & the big fan going full blast & still dripping wi sweat.
The bedding needs washing but whats the point when you're wet through wi sweat again after ten minutes of getting in/on the bed, It can wait.
