Me262 for Aircraft Enthusiasts
Found this one for serious aircraft enthusiasts. The Messerschmitt_262 is one of my all time favourite planes. It's such a clean design and way ahead of it's time. However, it's clear to see from the video why they were so vulnerable during the take-off and landing cycles. It looks so clumsy and lumbering when not fully airborne.

The 262 and the Arado 234 have to be two of the outstanding aircraft of WW2 and design classics.
Have a look at these other proposed aircraft, see if you can see where the influences for the Canberra, Vulcan and others came from. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=29LKdm...eature=related O.K some of them are rediculous but there are some great looking machines in there also. Russ

Some (ok, a lot) of the designs in that video are ridiculous, but they would all have been on the drawing board and most probably would have been tested at some point if the war had lasted longer (thank god it didn't) and if Germany's resources had been more abundant. Quite a few "what ifs" going around there.
