Took the family for a run out t-other day,not initially intending to go to my favourite photo spot, hence not taking my camera with me,however as there was a little snow around, btw unusually for this area,we have not had alot around, had to pay a visit, which is above Ashness Bridge on the road up to Borrowdale overlooking Derwentwater.

I took a few shots with my mob,the first 3 are from the mob, apologies for the quality, contrast these with the next 4,taken a couple of weeks ago with the camera on a beautiful sunny day.

BEST REGARDS.

JOHN.

You could have had some of my snow John - we had more than enough to go round - see http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=134671
As usual your pics are stunning - I feel a need to book at least a weekend in the Lakes coming on

Look after yourself and keep on clicking the shutter

Cheer's Rod,I think most of the snow fell further East, the A66 over Bowe's was closed, but that's not unusual, but was still surprised there wasn't more around the Keswick area.

Hope you can manage a few day's up this way,try & let me know if you can,am thinking Jan & I may have a run down your way for the meet Colin [2Diesels] is organising on 10th Feb,weather depending of course, take care Rod.

Best Regards.

John.

John - I've run out of superlatives to describe your photos - I'm going to have make a huge effort this Summer to get anything even close to their quality - keep up the good work and thanks for sharing them with us

It's been a while since I last posted in this section, but ready to have another go.have just got a new mob Galaxy S5 so consequently taking most of my pics with this at the present, personally I think the results are great for me.

As some of you may know,I like to take sunset shots preferably sea based shot's.I live on the Cumbrian Coast & get some quite spectacular sunset's.
My preference is a sunset with varying cloud, which to me gives off some superb shot's,as you never get the same shot twice, without the cloud effect's a clear sunset is well, just that, another sunset.

Will start with four, not necessary my best ones, just thought I would start with four Harbour shot's taken along the Cumbrian Coast, all shot's incidentally taken with Mobile.

Whitehaven Harbour entrance & Pier's.

The Entrance to the old Harrington Harbour.

Workington Harbour & Dock Entrance with the Scottish Hills forming a backdrop.

Maryport Harbour Entrance & Pier.

Best Regards.

John.

Good evening John. You certainly know how to compose the photo with that 'eye' of yours - the eye for the shot. Not everyone has this natural talent. Thank you so much John for taking the trouble and for posting them up. I love the sunsets and maritime photos you managed to get together for all of us to see. I take my Gate Keeper hat off to you

I was just showing them to Jessica. We have a special interest in the maritime ones you took, as her uncle is a maritime artist for The Imperial War Museum in London.
