There's a 'sender' in both sides, so either one or both might be impaired or faulty. There's a simple diagnostic check that should (might) inform you. See Section 6 in the Trip Screen Diagnostic Routine: https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...ad.php?t=55585

With a lot of luck, the result may tell you what's afoot.

Hi sorry for the late reply .the mystery of corroded parts magnets and sensors is an enigma . But the OSF bearing, hub and abs sensor is definitely connected to fuel gauge . Speedo problems . reason un conclusive .
