Big thanks to Jules
Big thank you to Jules,
Myself and son-in-law fitted the revotec two speed fan today supplied by Jules and all seems well. Fan working correctly and new intercooler seals fitted whilst the front was off. Cable tied the power steering pipe away from the air con pipe, amazing how much a rubber hose can wear away an aluminium pipe. Cleaned up a few rusty brackets whilst the front was off but generally not to bad in there... Air con condenser has a few fins missing but seen far worse, will need replacing in the next year or so, but now I know how to remove the front not too big a job. Have to admit far easier with two of you. So ready for the summer heat now and can confirm the fan is pretty quiet on low speed and certainly not loud enough to hear from inside the car. Seems to be far better quality than the original fan so here's hoping it will outlast the car. Really love these cars they get under your skin, happy to give it some new goodies |

One of those fans is on the shopping list, will be making a trip to the man himself at some point.

Pretty straight forward, make sure you cut the hole big enough to get the cowling off over the air con pipes. My son-in-law works for a body shop so one of his motor electricians wired it up for me just to be safe, but said it was simple enough. Allow a good day and take your time. The front slam panel and crash bar with the lights comes off as one unit so saves a bit of time but really needs two of you to do it this way as it is fairly heavy.
Hope this helps and all the best |

Summer heat!!!??? I hope you're right because it still feels like late autumn here in Yorkshire where the mercury hasn't risen much above 14°C during the whole of May. Come to think of it, the warmest it's been so far this year was just after Easter, when it reached 22°C in Leeds. That was nearly seven weeks ago. May has been just awful and aircon hasn't been required throughout

Thanks chaps for the kinds words.
Warming up nicely this week though. As soon as air temp goes above 16 deg the phone gets very hot with AC and fan queries
