Default Water leak in boot

Hi guys,

I've been aware of a water leak in my boot on the drivers-side for quite some time now.
It's evident the car has been in an accident at some stage and this particular area has been patched up & welded, however there is now a solid amount of water getting in when the weather isn't so lovely.

I'm going to take the car off the road for a few days whilst I look into this properly, but my first step is to remove the chrome window surround from the back window, and also the black weather-strip that sits between the bottom of the window and the boot lid.

I'd prefer not to break anything in the process, so if anyone has any details on how exactly to remove both the chrome surround and the weather strip that would be very greatly appreciated!

Thank-you for reading!

Get yourself a bottle of Capt. Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure. It sorted a leak in my rear screen seal.
