It's true, he has aspergers which is on the autism spectrum and he sees everything as it is, no middle ground. His reply when offered the car as his first car was "why do I want a car that causes you so much grief and money" to be fair it's had two rebuilds that he knows of and heading towards another, can't give it away

Well I would lick to think that one of my grandsons would take my 75 on after I have gone but the only interest that they have is taking the Micky out of me for keeping a car for so long y

A great post Bob, with much food for thought. It did make me smile, but there is a tinge of sadness too.

My Connie, though in not as good condition body-wise as many on here, looks to be going to my grandson. He was the one who prompted me to buy it, and said at the time the car was the right one for me as it was an old man's car!

A couple of weeks ago I put a new registration number on the car. It has my initials and his name (Kal). When he saw it he got quite excited and asked when I was going to give up driving. I asked why, and he said, "Will you keep the car for me till I am old enough to get a license, and I'll buy it from you?" Bless. He will be thirteen this year!

I'd like to think that the car will last that long and that I do too. If not I'll make sure that the number goes on retention for him.

I suppose I could leave mine to my son in Germany. He complains that they are to dear over there, also it would cost him an arm and a leg for insurance because of RHD. Zohar well. Probably not then!

I will plug the plenum holes, and leave my 75 to the person I most dislike at that time.. heh heh..

But first-- I will remove the Parrot blue tooth system and have it installed in my "vase" along with a fully charged 12v battery, so that when I join it in its resting place, anyone passing by with blue tooth will trigger the Ying tong song on its memory stick innit...
