first thing to see is if the pressre is showing in the dial .sounds to me like a mirco switch that has gone ,if the miro switch has gone then the burner wont ignite all you will have is the pilot light alight .same as if the boiler hasnt enough water in to get pressure up .

I am told that some switches are inside and others outside the combustion chamber.
Those outside can usually be seen with just the front unhook cover removed.

On the Baxi combi 105 HE the APS is located behind the fan assembly in the top compartment, but to get at it you have to remove the cover from the combustion chamber..

Yay! I sound as though I know what i'm talkin bout innit.. lmho..

Mark.

I am so old that in my day we had to do all these things ourselves as there were very few regs, ( Not even any speed limits for cars. )

I ran building sites and had to control the work of all the trades on site.

I learned lots of detailed info. on all the trades by looking and listening.

Plus research by myself on how to various components work in central heating systems. Such as variable voltage generation in certain metals according to the amount of heat applied.

Very well aware of all the dangers involved and would advise anyone with a problem with their household equipment to go to a specialist.

However not the 'SPECIALIST' that left the boiler previously mentioned in a dangerous condition.

most nowadays are inside, some older variants had them outside so i can see your point of view not having a pop by the way,on the 105 HE they are behind the fan and get far to hot,i have no idea what chrissyboy is talking about though

OH, I didn't think that and I'm always prepared to listen and learn.

The Baxi is playing up again!

This time it's the warning light above the red triangle that's flashing. hand book sez that is a pressure problem ?? water pressure? = pump problem?

Presumably the pump will be mounted on the water mains feed in... ? ???

If it is the pump, I will replace it, (or pay someone else too if it is inside of something that DIY'ers can't enter. ) then service the faulty one at my leisure.

Thee should be a gauge somewhere thats hows your water pressure,it should be about 1.5 bar.Our Baxi had a leak, and I was having to keep repressurising it, the gas fitter knew where it was coming from and fitted new parts but couldn't get it to stop, eventually he had to break with the norm and put some sealing paste around the washer, that eventually stopped it.
