Obama warning.
He obviously did not attend history classes in school, otherwise he would know of the the American war of independence.

As the US is negotiating a Trade Deal with the EU, it can be presumed that existing US and European (ie not EU) trade is carried out by all members under bi-lateral agreements, Long may it continue.

I'm afraid that I'm leaning firmly towards the "Leave" camp, as those (politico's etc) on the side of "Remain" seem intent on rather 'scare mongering'. Whilst I'm happy to accept that there may be some short term pain, Europe and others need us (by way of free trade deals) a great deal more than we need them. And there's also absolutely no reason why we can't do (if they don't already exist) free trade deals with our Commonwealth countries and others all on our own. The "Remain" campaigners seem intent on trying to convince us that the world will end if we leave Europe. I'm sure that things will change, but I'm far from convinced that those changes will have any negative affect on the UK in the long run. |

Threats
Somewhat more to that than meets the eye. His use of ‘back of the queue’ gives the game away. The Americans invariably use ‘line’. Downing Street involvement?
Hardly diplomatic or tactful, to issue a threat to a ‘friend’ under such auspicious circumstances. He’s just given the Brexit camp a boost from the millions of elderly voters already in the Out camp, and the Undecideds. Shot.in.foot. by a yesterday man. Nutshell: as for trade deals, the USA TTiP negotiations aren’t going too well, unsurprisingly. With UK ex EU, USA loses a valuable submissive partner to help with lobbying.

I will vote for anything that reduces the amount of control the "establishment" have over the public in the UK..... innit....

The remain lobby have also said that leaving the EU would adversely effect our security.
Have they never heard of NATO? France had no security issues during it's 43 year absence from NATO. The remain lobby do seem to be treating the public as if they are unable to make a rational judgement. |

Well, there is some good reasons for that! For instance: Of course there will be changes, and even big ones, but look at the people who are desperately trying to force the issue with lies and prophesies of doom: the very people who are continually being accused of lying, corrupt practices and having no experience of the real world! They talk about an exit negotiation period of at least two years. Eh? What’s to negotiate? If an Out vote ensues do we have to negotiate that? No way, Out is Out. That’s the trouble with lying – you have to maintain it and they get bigger by the minute. The £9million brochure that we paid for, front cover “The Facts”! No, they were all kinds of things but facts they were not. There cannot be one person in the UK that doesn’t want to be told ‘facts’ so as to make a rational decision but still they keep (t)rolling out guesswork. Reminds me of The Lone Ranger’s mask – covers the eyes but there’s no mistaking the face. So far it’s all been about money, important yes, but there are other, just as important, principles. Obama made reference to ‘the war dead’. Sickeningly, appallingly bad taste trying to appeal to those painful memories still held by so many all over Europe and completely oblivious to the sentiments of the public. Yes, you are right, they are treating the public as children.

Obama warning.
It seems to me that these people in office or civil servants do not realise that we no longer live in the dark ages where the normal public only knew what they were told, we have the world at our fingertips now and can find all the information we need without false interference, the people who have already decided to vote out will do so regardless.
Obama needs to concentrate on his own problems without sticking his beak into ours at dodgy daves request. EU leaflet returned to: Freepost 10 Downing Street ... Etc Leave.eu Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by Vossy; 23rd April 2016 at 15:01.. |
