Generally over 10 years old can be insured as a classic, however it's got more to do with how you use the car, so with a 10 year old car, they might restrict you to maybe 1000 miles, and exclude any form of commuting.
And by the way, Peter James do a multi car policy which allows a mixture of modern and classics. There might be restrictions regarding the number of each, but I have 4 modern and 3 classics all with no mileage restrictions.

Hmmm! I was on the phone this morning to Peter Best enquiring about classic insurance & was told not on my car 1999 Rover 75 2.5 & not without having another car that I used for everyday.

To say the young lady sounded disinterested would have been an understatement. I was put through to their regular car insurance where a young chap upon hearing I wanted to open a new policy & the car was a Rover 75 said that would be very expensive to insure,(bearing in mind I hadn't yet given him any of my details!) I said is it worth me continuing with this conversation! He said it would still be expensive to insure!!! I wont be troubling them again.

It would be Nice to know just how much people paid for their insurance so I can compare.

I spent all morning ringing insurance companies & the cheapest quote I got today for my Rover 75 was £695 I've never made an insurance claim in over 40+ years of driving, My missus & I both have clean licences, the car is garaged every night & we seldom do more than 1500 miles a year in it.

Hi,last year PB insured my launch car for £212,couple of weeks ago PB sent me a renewal for £297 and of course you do not get any no claims for the year.At present have not reinsured as debating whether to sell it,but have had quotes off the variuos sites from £230 to £390 these are with no no claims discount as they do not accept discount from my other car insurance. The cheapest seems to be from Saga,I have not phoned them to confirm yet.Be it i am 59 but if it is £230 with no no claims that will suffice me if I go ahead.Regards Ry...
