Default Message re: 6th September meet at Hollow Tree

I have not mentioned the Tuesday meet in September as I will be on holiday, but I guess if members want to meet on Tuesday 6th September at the usual time of 7pm, I'm sure a few will turn up as usual for some friendly banter.

HI Everyone,

Just heard on the grapevine -

The Hollow Tree is shut for three months for refurbishment (they must have lotsa money, lol)

I rang them yesterday to find out more, but the girl who answered must have had a monk on as she just said 'we're shut' and that was the end of that.

Yeah. Along with the Gilbern owners, who'd also been exiled.

Still haven't worked out how we managed to lose all the other five 75s/ZTs that had turned up - in just 200 yards between the Hollow Tree car park and the Stretton Fox

Interesting that the Fox gets much more custom than the Tree did, despite drinks seeming to be about 50% more expensive.

Default The Meetings

The Stretton Fox could be a good venue for a few months.

The car park at the Fox is always very full as the pub is. I've eaten there and the food was passable but expensive and the drinks prices extortionate.

Sat navs not set for the Fox. They thought departure from Hollow tree must mean 'Home '.

I am going to have a look at the suitability of the Mascrat Manor which is situated by the Mercedes dealer on the roundabout by the M6 sliproad that leads onto the M6 South at the base of Thelwall viaduct, also easily accessible from the Northbound M6 as well. Details below

I don't think the Fox is suitable because you are allocated a table for dining and it would be difficult for any latecomers to join your table as it is has more formal dining with waitress service.
