Default How to knock off air bag light...non rover

I'm putting a sparco non airbag steering wheel n boss kit on my daily fiesta,how do I get round the airbag light that will be on the dash afterwards?

You have a couple of options, fit a resistor to fool the system into thinking it still has an airbag. I think I have seen them on Ebay.

Remove the bulb or as is probably part of the circuit board you could destroy it or cover it in some black heat shrink so the light is not visible.

You'll want to plug in a resistor into the plug under the seat, something like this...

I very much doubt the wiring under the seat is for the steering wheel air bag, certainly not on a Rover 75, its for the side seat airbags.

Regardless of the airbag warning light I'd be very wary of the MOT regs:

7.1.5 Airbags
This inspection is for all airbags fitted as original equipment other than on Class 3 vehicles.

An airbag fitted as original equipment obviously missing - Major Fail

Whoops just read sparco and wrongly assumed seats, they should ask work the same though
