Battery drain... is it the BCU or LSM? - Page 13

The same here. I would've thought that the alarm stays at a steady drain all the time. Maybe there is something in the systems that works periodically? Just thinking out loud here, but maybe the ultrasonic unit sents out pulses every few seconds, which causes a slight peak? Can't really think of much else that goes on-and-off every now and then?

Have you tried disconnecting the dashboard clock ? Or fuse F28, which powers the clock ?

Or the key remote RF receiver, that may be responding to other key remotes ?

That didn't do anything.

I'm not sure onf the RF receiver. If it is connected via a fuse, then yes. If it isn't, then no.

Just for the sake of the argument, I removed the tilt sensor from the medium-sized BCU plug. It did not make a difference.

I then saw that the brown/green wire goes upwards via the pillar. Logical, because it needs to go up for the rain sensor (which I don't have). I noticed the wire stopped at the plug just at the bottom of the pillar (at the underside of the windscreen). So I took the plug apart and discovered that the black has 2 rows of wires, the brown/green is on the second row. The wire that goes up, onely has wires in the first row. So the brown/green wire stops at the bottom of the windscreen. I expected that, but hadn't double checked it yet.

As a test, I put most of the interior back together again. Only the glovebox is still out to get to the BCU and the fusebox. Everything else is connected and screwed back into place.
This made zero difference. Still 0.07 at rest, when I unplug the wiper motor it goes to 0.03 again.

Also got confirmation that my battery is delayed...

@Colin, thank you for the tip with MG Workshop. Unfortunately, they said they don't do anything other then MG or beyond 1980. So they can't help me. They told me to contact Rover Lievaart. Which I'm gonna e-mail now (they didn't answer the phone).

I got a multi meter from a neighbour a few houses down the street.
The values in volt and amp are exactly the same, regardless what test I repeat. However, when I do measurements in Ohm, is often differs almost 0.5 ohm. In general all numbers are 0.5 lower with the other multimeter.

Good news and bad news for me today. First i got the message that my battery will be further delayed due to delivery problems. So I asked them te refund me and I will re-order somewhere else. Thank god for the loan-battery I can use in the meantime.

The good news is, I received David's wiper motor (thank you again!). I'm gonna install it later this evening to test whether this makes a difference. Fingers crossed that this will fix the problem.
