i also place the cup of a jack under the brake disc beforehand and just jack it up an inch or so to hold this steady and give more clearance for the pin to drop out in case the arm is at the bottom of its travel. if you look from the side you will see if the pin can drop down vertically when forced so as not to compromise the angle of exit. ....
