I've heard of farming as the reason, I have grown up with it and just accept it, not sure why some get so worked up about it.
What are the farmers thoughts on it?

If anyone is bothered by it, do tell me why?

It was trialled between 1968 and 1971 when the clocks were not put back but apparently research couldn’t find any advantage

Clearly you should get a digital clock then you wouldn't have to fret about moving "the hands"?

For me it's as simple as having to close the curtains at 4pm is just thoroughly depressing.Fortunately I work but I feel for anyone who is housebound. If the worst that it got was 5pm before the light started to fail that would be so much better.

Default Replacement Street Light

The street light next to our house was renewed recently and they have replaced it with one of those "daylight" bulbs! Crikey, it's bright!
