Default Non permanant 12v on the Accessories wires.

Hello.
I have the same problem with the lighter and radio, sometimes they disconnect for a second and connect again.
What should I check?
Thanks.

Trace the fuses and remove and reconnect them a couple of times. You have an iffy electrical connection for those items.--

Hi Jean,

Your cigar lighter is fed directly from the battery (2005 car) but the radio supply is switched via the auxiliary key position, so different circuits. They don't share the same fuse either!
I only have RHD wiring diagrams for the original radio types and they have separate earthing points so it's unlikely to be that.

You could check for trapped/damaged wires under the engine compartment fusebox as diesels seem to suffer from that. Otherwise it's a case of turning the radio on and wiggling wires in the hope that you can reproduce the fault.

Hi Mark,

If you look in Jean's profile he's entered the VIN numerals for his diesel but I agree that it would be good to know which radio he has.
