If anyone is going to ask, Ofgen would be a better party to ask. After all, they regulate the charges.

So, did everyone get their readings in? I didn't bother.

See the beeb are up to their usual scaremongering again on the subject:

Must have spent a good few minutes searching for them on Google?

Hope to goodness we have a good summer though, folks are going to need all the help they can get

Took a photograph of the smart meter and will just review the bill when it turns up.

The wife took a meter reading.
Our downstairs ranges from 11.1 to 13.6 degrees.
We are hoping our son will be with us for Christmas day, over from Australia. We are now saving what few bags of coal we have for Christmas day. I think we are just tight but fate has dealt us a hand that may cover our electric bills from the latter half of the year.

Oh dear! Emailed with a friend over in Wigan last night & he was going nuts! Them & the house next door have shared back to back fireplaces & the chap next door had ripped his gas fire out because of the expence & began burning wood in the hearth, Unbeknown to him the mortar in the old chimney brickwork had become porous & wood smoke started to fill their living room & upstairs
It got so dense they had to move out & get the fire brigade The chap next door was very apologetic & put the fire out.
