Default City wheel refurbishment

Hello all,

Thinking of going to City wheel refurbishment in Birmingham.
Any recommendations for their one day service?

https://g.co/kgs/rEy8wR

Planning on getting a set of Serpents done.

Thanks

Paul

Which car are you going in to powder coasters? I believe it is within the pollution area. £8 a day if your car does not qualify.

Regarding the one day service, just be aware they need every minute of the full day to complete the job. If you get stuck in traffic or any other such misfortune occurs they will not complete them for you and it may turn into a wasted journey, or the need for a return journey.

I am also looking to get a set of serpents refurbished by them, though I need to get one straightened first.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I haven't been up for a couple of years.

I've had 4 sets done by them. Great quality and service.
Last set was for a Triumph Stag.
Make sure the wheels are absolutely bare.
No tyre valves, weights or centre caps or they will charge you.

I had a set done by them a few years for a Saab, the wheels were not that bad and they turned them around in a couple of days. Looked good when I collected them but in less than 12 months the coating was peeling off so I supect the prep was not as good as it could have been.

When you say a set done for your Triumph Stag, do you mean the oem GKN alloy or some other type? What type of finish was applied (if GKN)?

Just had a set done on my Golf. Dropped the car off on the morning and went the next day at dinner time fantastic finish. They also did a set for my van valves tyres and weights on, they straightened a buckle out and charged me £145. I went on a Saturday morning and collected the following Saturday.

I have also had my wheels done there and was very satisified.
I opted for the 2 week turn around as i didn't need them urgently,as they are very busy the process nearly took 3 weeks, but the result was worth it at £30.00 a wheel and they took the tyres off and refitted them and balanced, just remove your centre caps.
Also it's inside the congestion zone so £8.00 per day if you don't qualify
