Which exhaust
So I bought a stainless steel backbox for my 04 ZT CDTI - a direct fit apparently. I've just cut the old backbox off, jacked the new one into position and there's no way it will connect to the old pipe so it will have to go back.
Is there a difference between a 75 and ZT backbox? Eurocarparts have a Klarius one with Bank Holiday discount but it's only showing as a Rover exhaust not an MG: https://www.eurocarparts.com/search/705751351 |

Euro car parts only have the 75 exhausts I’m afraid Billy, if the pipe is the same diameter in your replacement box, then you can order a sleeve clamp to join the two together.

Yeah I ordered one of them on Prime when I realised they were the same size instead of the backbox slipping over the existing pipe as advertised but as I say having manoeuvred it into position it won't line up and it seems like it would also be very close to the rear anti roll bar. The hangers also seem to be too wide.
I'll order a ZT one on eBay. Furious! |
