Freon (or Freon-12 for refrigeration uses) boils at a mere -30°C. I think you're maybe confusing it with Absolute Zero (-273°C), (the lowest temperature theoretically possible and which nothing can actually reach). Freon was banned as a refrigerant because it's a 'greenhouse' gas.

But again you are correct ,as one of my jobs among many was to service and repair industrial dehumidifiers using Freon gas boiling temperature was minus 275C so dangerous now banned. I think they worked in opposite to our air con as evaporator coil was the first stop. It was rarely a compressor fail which was 110v,normally the filter had frozen or a pipe had sheared. Brazing the copper back was unbelievable, health and safety would have had a fit!!!
Anyway enough of history lessons, I'm always making mistakes when it comes to cars, you can guarantee if there are two choices I will choose the wrong one, luckily I have folks like yourself and Arctic to help put things right.
It was in a way an open handed question, plus I was hoping someone in my part of the world could suggest, as I find word of mouth always the best way to go. Stay safe Simon and thanks again
