Default Window switch

I am still having a problem with the drivers window switch. If I disconnect it and and then reconnect it the switch works but then stops working I have purchased another switch but problem still persists. Have checked all the fuses and relays all fine.
Radio and air con not working. But there is power to the CD changer.

TBH the usual problem with the window switches is dirty contacts on the circuit board in the switch - easily cleaned with a pencil rubber - worth a try to see if it solves your problem. Link below shows you how to take the switch apart -easily done with tweezers.

Could be a wiring issue as you are moving the harness every time you disconnect and reconnect the plug, if not then a bcu issue as you will be resetting g something each time you disconnect the plug.

I know the mirror control goes through the black box under the driver's seat but not sure if the window control does the same. If it does then it might be worth checking the connections or even replacing it with a 2nd hand unit.
