Hi , put about 2 litres in on saturday , as car went into limp mode and temp shot up , as i was near home ( 2 mins) i got home , let her cool and checked water ,as i said about 2 litres.
went out today on a short trip , came home and noticed fan making hell of a nioise, checked water , none in header tank , topped up another 2 litres and let her idle... as she was idling i openend the oil filler cap , bit of mayo and a bit steam ??? temp at normal all day today, no steam from exhaust either ??

If you've got an under tray pop it off and look for anything obvious, lower coolant pipes , water pump or radiator, although to loose so much so quickly you'd expect to see a puddle if it was external

Check the pipe at the top of the thermostat where the heater connects.

There was often mayo under the oil cap of my diesel, it didn't use water. Short journeys and low running temperature is the cause of the mayo.
