Winter Tyres...... or ...
.... snow shoes or chains..... ?
http://www.express.co.uk/news/nature...ic-snow-freeze Or give up driving and stock up with food & fuel ? Whatever, the prospects look bleak, and with leaves falling rapidly over the last few days from trees, they seem to think that an early hard winter is coming as well

Constantly changing - removing/replacing chains or shoes will be a major issue in mid winter. So I think we are better going with winter tyres...
Actually I run on Uniroyal rainmasters all year round, they have never let me down yet.... *touches wood*... innit... ... Last edited by James.uk; 15th September 2015 at 14:36.. |

I am wondering if the 'all season' tyres are up to the job? Last edited by Gate Keeper; 15th September 2015 at 08:06.. Reason: added comment |

A long-range weather forecast is one that extends into the next week. Anything further ahead is purely guesswork - you'd be better off with a forecasting stone.

all 4 cars will be getting their winter boots once the temperature drops, remember winter tyres are not just for snow but for temps below 8-10 degrees
if you need chains you shouldnt really be trying to go anywhere unless its just to get off the drive |
