Default Possibly an auto.

We're going to replace my zt now our daughters passed her test I need to pass the Bini onto her.
The car we want to possibly purchase only comes in auto & neither of us have really driven an auto so be fore we splash out we'd like to try one for a little while and see how we get on.
So thought if we can get a auto zt to try & see how we get on.
This will only be for a month or 2 so not really looking to spend a lot as car will traded in or sold on once we get our new car.

First lesson when driving an auto !

Keep the left foot firmly placed on the foot rest.

When I drove my friends 3500 Rover auto many years ago I pulled into the yard we were going to and went for the clutch with the left foot,

I almost put my friend through the screen.

Wullie your welcome to have a run in mine to see what it's like but don't expect a fast car, I reckon the missus's old diesel was quicker off the mark than my V6.

But then there's always a Jaguar XF, now that's fast.

Some years ago I trained myself to use both feet when driving an auto. A worthwhile exercise & l can now switch from manual to auto foot patterns without thought.
I can't use it on the new-fangled autobox lorries however as both pedals are to the right of the steering column, unfortunately.

Having driven auto's on and off for about 50 years, I have always used one foot for each pedal, if you make a miake and brake hard by mistake, don't worry, you only scare yourself and it helps you remeber NOT to do it again...
