I was surprised by my auto renewal price this year - actually cheaper than last year at £208 including mods (190 brake mod brought price down) with esure.
Only £4 more than a brand new quote. So for once I can just leave it to renew and not have the bother of a new policy. |

Renewed mine with Adrian Flux, £380 But That is with key care....your own car keys plus house keys, and a locksmith to change the locks on your doors if required. Think that was an extra £17/18 .Had a quote from Saga and it was £360 for three years at the equivalent sum. Not worth the move I thought, all the form filling gets on my nerves.

Hahaha, you lot with your cheap insurance. Just got mine from Direct Line... £889!
I do, however have 9 points and a total loss write off when my Fiesta ST got stolen in November of last year. |

Ian, those 15 mods do not generally form part of underwriting criteria.

I know this has been raised before, but always interesting to update. Has anyone secured "agreed value" insurance for a sum appreciably more than "market value" and if so with whom and with what sort of conditions (e.g mileage restriction etc)? I ask because I am currently spending considerably more than my car is worth on a complete engine rebuild, and it would be nice to know if I could recover at least some of the outlay in the event of the car subsequently suffering a serious accident/write off.
