Can't go far wrong with a decent Series Landy. However, prices are getting a bit stupid. With a 200TDI they can really fly, and deliver acceptable MPG.

How about.
http://www.freemeditation.com/wp-con...cart-story.jpg A couple of highland cattle and you are all set up for transport. Then, when the time comes, some nice steak dinners! ???? All sugegstions are sensible...if the recipient broadens their mind sufficiently. Last edited by MSS; 28th November 2015 at 08:48.. |

Volvo 145 estate, circa 1970. Or an old Amazon estate. Old clattery OHV engine that never fails, tough chassis if it's been looked after and no road tax.

Going back ten years or more is the estate versions of the Ford 100E, the Squire & Escort. The 1174cc SV is a slogger and even with three speeds it works well. The body is strong and not a big ruster. Not cheap but great fun, even the Thames van is ok, much better than the later Anglia van with the pushrod unit and rubbish bodywork.
