A further issue I have with this car which needs investigating concerns the tailgate.

The button on the wiper blade that it supposed to open the glass tailgate window, does not - it releases the entire tailgate and it also does this when the car is supposedly locked.. I've never been able to open the glass.

I suspect the wiring harness has worn and some of the wires will be broken or toucking each other.

Have a look where the wires exit the tailgate and enter the main bodyshell, i have seen a few that need repair in this area.
