75 diags/cable for TF?
I have a couple of cables (one with pins 7 & 8 shorted, one not) which I got originally for TOAF. Obviously the shorted one works with TOAF, but I kept the other one anyway.
The yellow engine management light on my MG TF has come on, and I tried to use the non-shorted cable with “OBD Auto Doctor” software to diagnose the problem, but it wouldn't communicate. Can anybody advise (a) if the pins need to be shorted for the TF like they do on the Rover, (b) if there’s any free/trial version software which might work better on the MG, just to diagnose a simple fault? Thanks
