Maybe that's where older Brummies retire to, or at least spend much of their leisure time?

I try to keep two of mine in running order with a valid mot, that way I have a spare in the event of a major breakdown.

They are the newest vehicles I own and therefore used whenever I need to go anywhere which is not every day as I'm retired. (I don't plan to replace them with anything newer).

I guess I do 6000 miles anually although more nest year if a trip to Sweden comes off.

I have a couple of cars so tend to swap things around a bit so they all get used.

Most of my journeys are fairly short commutes to the railway station so I tend now to use my Volvo 740 for these, less worried about picking up knocks in the car park with this. I kept this after my dad passed away as it is a very useful estate and would otherwise be sitting around outside

I still use the ZT for weekends and longer runs although have been using it recently as the Volvo has been away from home. Was glad of the air-con in the recent heatwave, that's for sure.

When I actually started working things out, the 740 isn't much more economical around town than my ZT so doesn't make much difference which i use for commuting really.

I'm hoping that both of us can retire in the next year or two.

Wow ! is it Abbotsford BC. a few miles north of the USA/Canadian border? I've been there twice, the last time about a year or so ago very clinical ,just a stop over waiting for the Wife over the border at the Boing factory in the USA.
But I was there in the early 80s jumping out of low level civvy RCAF pipers and others. In the days Maggie and Ronald were in bed together.

Its a motoring forum I know so keeping it short, but what memories, Magic ?
