Default Radiator Cap

Hi,
I have a cracked radiator cap on my Rover 75 2004 V6. Can I get an off shelf replacement as per the E Bay Item No 392740423517. Its weird as E Bay site says this cap is compatible with Rover 75 2003 and 2005 but not 2004!!!
I am in Australia and only other sources seem to be UK. Are there generic caps I could source locally that would do the job if I cannot get a genuine Rover part.
Regards
Jeffrey

Over the years, MGR used both the 100 kPa (15psi) pressure cap and the 140kPa (22psi) version. The standard for all engines is now the '140' type. This is what you'll get from DMGRS (recommended).

Default Radiator Cap

Thanks for the replies but given the COVID situation orders from the UK to Australia I am assuming are slow. I am aware of the Rimmers stock but trying to source what would be a functional cap in Australia. Hence my enquiry re the E Bay item No 392740423517 which I can source in Australia and get within 5 days maybe.

Land Rover caps fit, as long as you get the 140 as TC indicated. I'm sure you have outlets in Australia
Part no. PCD00007/PCD000070

Hi Jeffrey,

I've been on to eBay.com.au but it cannot find the item number you've given. What am I doing wrong?

I believe UK postal services are now operating normally and DMGRS does sent stuff to Oz.

Thanks for the link Jeffrey. That Borg & Beck cap appears to be rated at 30 psi whereas the genuine MGR cap is 22 psi (marked 140 kPa). Also the equivalent Rover part number given in the eBay listing is not in the format used for the 75/ZT so doesn't help.

It may well be functional but it isn't the correct spec. for your car. I'd say the DMGRS, Rimmer or local Land Rover options would be a better choice.

Default Radiator cap sourced hooray!!!!

Happy Ending. Thanks suzublu as managed to source part PCD000070 from local Range Rover dealer only 15 minute drive away. It is 140kpa cap AUD $48.50 could have gone after market for $28 but kpa reading a bit suss I thought. New cap fits perfect.
