Put simply Rod, poor performance is the result of a VIS system fault. It feels as if you don't have 150 bhp under the bonnet.

All you need is a screwdriver to check the 'balance' actuator and flap. These have the greatest effect upon everyday driving.

A blocked crankcase breather also has a major effect upon the response of a KV6 auto.

Do you mean that the car doesn't accelerate at all? Can you give a bit more detail please Rod. At what speed does this occur? Does the car behave normally at non-motorway speeds?

1st thing I would check is the accelerator cable for play and take up any slack

Hi I was doing about 70 mph but it did not want to accelerate it only crept up slowly I checked engine breather earlier that was clear not checked vi's motors yet but I have just been out in it and it seemed fine around town although it sounded a little bit revy I will have a longer look. Later in the week many thanks Simon

Thanks for your reply Rod.

How many miles has the car done and when was the engine last serviced? Do you do your own maintenance?
